| dds script disabling Hi, I know my computer is infected with malware so I am trying to get the logs that I need. However, when i run dds with norton and spybot disabled it still says that i need to disable script blockers. Can anyone help me? Sorry if this is in the wrong forum. |

| Download and save the free version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.61.0.1400 SUPERAntiSpyware 5.0.0.1150 then close all open windows first, then install them. Make sure to update their definition files during the install process. Make sure to uncheck and opt out to install any extras, such as toolbars and homepages, that are offered. After they've been installed and updated, restart the computer. Run a quick scan with each one. After each quick scan is finished, select and remove EVERYTHING that was found. | Go here and click the green "Download latest version" link to download and save HiJackThis 2.0.4 After it's been downloaded and saved, close all open windows first, then double-click the saved file to install it. Allow it to install in its default location - C:\Program Files. After it's been installed, start it and allow its main window to load. Uncheck "Do not show this window when I start HiJackThis". Click "Do a system scan and save a log file". When the scan is finished in 30 - 60 seconds, a log file will appear. Save that log file. Return here to your thread, then copy-and-paste the entire log file here. --------------------------------------------------------- Start HiJackThis. Click on the "Open The Misc Tools Section" button. Click on the "Open Uninstall Manager" button. Click on the "Save List" button. Save the "uninstall_list.txt" file somewhere. | Where is the second log that I requested in post #7? ---------------------------------------------------------- You need to go to Control Panel - User Accounts, then select "Change UAC Settings", then move the slider down to "Never Notify", then click OK, then restart the computer. HiJackthis will then work okay without displaying the host file message. ---------------------------------------------------------- Have you upgraded Windows 7 to SP1? Have you been installing the important/recommended updates that Microsoft releases on a regular basis? ---------------------------------------------------------- |

| Ask Toolbar needs to be uninstalled. Babylon Toolbar On IE needs to be uninstalled. Java 2 Runtime Environment Standard Edition v1.3.1_04 needs to be uninstalled.
