| Hi everyone , I'm a newbie here I have a little knowledge when it comes to computers but very little. So that's what brings me here as I'm well and truly stuck with this so really hope someone can help me, I will try and give as much detail as I can. GC=Google Chrome IE=Internet Explorer So this all started yesterday I installed two programs called Hide My IP and Hide my ip address I downloaded two different ones cause the 1st one didn't work so they were both installed on my computer ( I stupidly did this trying to download some tvshow from a torrent site never again) So they randomly changed my IPs to one in china the US and Australia. Everything went well ish to start then I got some error message on GC on my home page saying I was not connected to the internet and to restart my router or adjust my proxy setting if I was using one I got the same message on IE as well. (Internet was on) Then I quickly uninstalled these two programs everything seemed to be ok and they seemed to work I was able to use the both GC and IE again normally then I stupidly very stupidly I may add reinstalled one of the hide my ip programs again.(Was still pushing my luck stupidly) Then I tried again and got another error almost straight away saying there was a network issue and to try again soon( this wasn't an online issue I knew it was down to my stupidity) and then I went into GC under the hood by clicking the wrench I clicked under Privacy I clicked content settings and were it said all cookies and site data I clicked that open and proceeded to remove all. I also hit the button when you go into privacy under cookies and the very end of the column it says manage exceptions I for some reason deleted the hostname (I really have no idea why I thought any of this was a good idea at the time I think I was possessed by an idiot ghost or something cause I have no words for this its not me lol) Then I refreshed again and got this error on both browsers again 502 bad gateway nginx then I panicked a bit more realizing I got myself stuck in more hot water I then got this error after refreshing the page a few times error 15 (net::err_socket_not_connected): unknown error I got these errors on both browsers, I also got this error Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): also on both. I uninstalled the hide my ip program again and shouted at myself many times lol Then I opened firefox to see was it by chance working it was then I thought phew least I have some internet maybe I can google my way out of it lol. So I installed another browser for back up in the off chance it would work like firefox I downloaded Opera it also worked so I was happy with that I then proceeded googling and tried a few things I cleared the cache and the browsing history and cookies none of this really worked. But after a while on it clicked on to google I thought yes its back but then I got a capctha page from google saying it noticed strange traffic coming from my network so I typed in the captcha and it worked and it went on to the test page I typed into test search to see was it working it worked for a minute and then it dropped and said I had no internet connection and to check my router or proxy settings blah blah (My dongle was connected to the internet so I know there was access) I got these captcha things from google on both browsers still. Then after refreshing for a bit I got this google captcha thing again but this time in Mandarin Chinese, So then I thought my ip address must still be this Chinese ip both of these programs I had uninstalled hours at this stage so I was completely baffled was the same on both browsers still. Then a little while later I opened IE and my home page opened then I tried google and it opened too I typed in a word to test and see would it search and work when I did it wouldn't move and just stayed on googles main page. Also I tired it with GC again and it opened on my homepage I typed in twitter on my address bar and got this again especially with twitter when I try open it with these two browsers 502 bad gateway nginx. After refreshing a few more times I still kept getting all 3 of these errors again over and over 1.Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): 2. error 15 (net::err_socket_not_connected): unknown error 3. 502 bad gateway nginx again on both browsers. So more googling on opera I came to the conclusion maybe it was a virus malware I was thinking by the descriptions so I installed Malware Bytes the 14 day trial it ran a scan it then show up saying I had two intrusions Pup something or other and something called Application something or other I didn't take the names I just thought great malware bites will quarantine it it will be ok now, I also used ccleaner to sweep the cache cookies and what not to see would it help anymore. By this stage it was late as I was hours over it so I said I'd go to bed and try again in the morning. So today I could still not access the internet with GC or IE after I thought the virus had gone so I said it must of being something I did wrong so I settled on I won't get it fixed and I have browsers that will work so I was happish with that. Then tonight both opera and firefox stopped working after much cursing I tried to manually look through the files were the virus were supposed to be and I looked through my recently installed programs and various files to see was anything installed or did anything look suspicious there was a few things I deleted the hide my ip files from the local data files and any others that looked strange that I didn't recognize. I opened firefox again in the off chance it might work it didn't but at the side from malaware bytes a pop up appeared saying it was successfully keeping a malicious proxy away from my computer with the number 207.232.22.60 it also had a port number but I didn't think to take that down like a fool. it also had something saying status ongoing and it said firefox etc. I last night before I installed malware bytes scanned with norton 360 everything was fine with the results. So then I thought maybe malware bytes maybe gave my computer something it never had in the first place so I uninstalled it and deleted all the files it came with including the quarantined viruses. Now my computer is running really low on memory its at zero now even though I'm disk cleaning every few minutes then it jumps back to 7gb again and goes again just as fast. I can only access the internet through firefox and I can't play any youtube videos at all either on firefox and just now I have noticed in the system 32 folder the DRVSTORE Folder is blue as are all the files inside and when there was an apparent virus last nigh the folder that was left of it was blue too it was called wizmiz or something like that. And also from the last couple of weeks Norton 360 keeps saying it is out of date even though there is 178 days left of the subscription I usually reinstall this to fix it but it also never lets me update it when its working and it crashes alot too never really fazed me though cause I just kept reinstalling it and then it seemed ok ( But after I posted this yesterday morning Norton 360 said it was out of date again and at risk). That's basically everything I hope I was thorough and I didn't confuse anyone to much I tried my best with explaining call me a idiot your more then welcome but please don't be to harsh as I'm calling myself enough names lol I really hope someone can help me I am at a loss with this I'm that mixed up with its crazy lol I thought I knew my stuff but sadly no so please dumb it down considerably if you can for me haha Thanks and looking forward to hearing your solutions if I'm not completely doomed lol this all the SysInfo Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.2 OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1, 64 bit Processor: Celeron(R) Dual-Core CPU T3500 @ 2.10GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 23 Stepping 10 Processor Count: 2 RAM: 3932 Mb Graphics Card: Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family, 6 Mb Hard Drives: C: Total - 238469 MB, Free - 0 MB; D: Total - 238068 MB, Free - 0 MB; Motherboard: TOSHIBA, PWWAM Antivirus: Norton 360, Not Updated (This is the SysInfo from today 22/07/2012 hope this is helpful) Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.2 OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1, 64 bit Processor: Celeron(R) Dual-Core CPU T3500 @ 2.10GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 23 Stepping 10 Processor Count: 2 RAM: 3932 Mb Graphics Card: Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family, 4 Mb Hard Drives: C: Total - 238469 MB, Free - 0 MB; D: Total - 238068 MB, Free - 0 MB; Motherboard: TOSHIBA, PWWAM Antivirus: Norton 360, Not Updated Last edited by dvk01; 22-Jul-2012 at 06:12 AM.. Reason: remove bold tags to make it readable |

| first DO NOT use bold tags on the logs or on an entire post please it makes it very difficult to read and I don't have the time or patience to play around trying to read difficult things. I would normally just ignore them & move on to topics that I can read easily without straining my eyes The idea of bold or other formatting tags is to highlight small important words or phrases NOT the entire post now next step elete any existing version of ComboFix you have sitting on your desktop Please read and follow all these instructions very carefully Do not edit or remove any information or user names etc, otherwise we cannot fix the problem. If you insist on editing out anything then I will close the topic & refuse to offer any help. Download ComboFix from Hereto your Desktop. As you download it rename it to username123.exe **Note: It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop and run from the desktop and not any other folder on your computer** -------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.
2. Close any open browsers and any other programs you might have running Double click on renamed combofix.exe & follow the prompts. If you are using windows XP It might display a pop up saying that "Recovery console is not installed, do you want to install?"Please select yes & let it download the files it needs to do this. Once the recovery console is installed Combofix will then offer to scan for malware. Select continue or yes. When finished, it will produce a report for you. Please post the "C:\ComboFix.txt" for further review ****Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall or freeze **** Note: ComboFix may reset a number of Internet Explorer's settings, including making it the default browser. Note: Combofix prevents autorun of ALL CDs, floppies and USB devices to assist with malware removal & increase security. If this is an issue or makes it difficult for you -- please tell us when you reply. Read HERE why we disable autoruns Please do not install any new programs or update anything (always allow your antivirus/antispyware to update) unless told to do so while we are fixing your problem. If combofix alerts to a new version and offers to update, please let it. It is essential we always use the latest version. Please tell us if it has cured the problems or if there are any outstanding issues *EXTRA NOTES*
Post the log in next reply please...
