Do i have malware on my Laptop.

Hi i started my computer one day it it wouldnt boot on to windows 7 i tried it 3 times and then i went on to dell pre boot. Checked everything and everything passed. Then it booted and when i went on to my account the solve pc issues on windows 7 said my firewalls were disabled. i went to my McAfee and they were on then the message disappeared. What happened to my computer. Please Help. I have a dell inspirion n5050 i5 6gb ram.
