The only symptoms that appear to manifest is the fact that my computer is running incredibly slow. It is particularly noticeable with any high demanding application (ie AutoCAD) but has affected everything. Would like some guidance if possible as to what may be causing the issue and how to go about removing it permanently.

And I've disabled any form of script blocking I have on this PC, but I still can't seem to get the DDS.scr tool to run.

Based on several tests I've run with other software, the only reoccurring item getting picked up each time as "suspicious" (or something of that nature) is "Akamai Netsession Client; netsession_win32.exe." When trying to research what this process is, I seem to be getting conflicting information about whether it is harmful/harmless.

Anyways...just trying to give some more information to those of you that are willing and able to help me with this issue.
