Question Party Poker Spyware
Hi,

I have a machine that's having problems with some party poker popups and a poker chips icon apparently keeps appearing on the desktop. Here's the HijackThis log:

Hi!

try downloading and runnin the following programs:
ad-aware
spybot - search and destroy
CCleaner

They can all be downloaded from www.download.com just type the file name in the search at the top.

Once downloaded and installed, make sure you do any updates on them before running them.

Then run the all individually. This should get rid of any spyware hiding on your pc.
If for any reason the programs will not run, click here: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...01052409420406 to find how to start your computer in save mode, then run them again.

Hope this is a start to sorting your problems out.

Download CWShredder http://www.intermute.com/products/cwshredder.html
Close all browser windows,
Open cwshredder.exe then click "Fix" and let it run.

Download About:Buster from:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4289.html
Double click aboutbuster.exe, click Update, click OK, click Start, then click OK.

Print this and boot to safe mode (Start tapping F8 at the first black screen after power up)
Fix these with HJT

View Hidden Files
Open Windows Explorer. Go to Tools, Folder Options and click on the View tab.
Make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked.
Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files".
Uncheck hide extensions
Now click "Apply to all folders", Click "Apply" then "OK"

Delete these files

C:\WINNT\system32\fibjr.exe

START – RUN – type in %temp% OK - Edit – Select all – File – Delete
Delete everything in the C:\Windows\Temp folder or C:\WINNT\temp
Empty the recycle bin

Run CWS and about:buster again

Boot and post a new log
