Excellent news, that you very much.

So now all that's left to do is uninstall the various tools we have used, run about 3 years worth of windows updates and correctly configure his security suite. But I can do all that on my own so it looks like we can mark this one as closed.

Phil, As part of all those changes, Java needs to be updated.
I would run a final HJT because who knows what all those changes might bring up.

OK, advice noted.

I've just finished doing SP2 and all the critical / software updates and taking a break to check my e-mails before the wife has me doing some late night DIY.

I'll sort out Java later on and post a final log.
