I dont know
I can't get certain programs to network. I do have a connection. I've disabled the norton, and the windows firewall. specifically i've tried to do a pc anywhere and direct connect through msn messenger. I've recently gotten over the virus burst trojan. other than that there is pretty much nothing to offer. Any help?

nothing jumps out, but wait for an expert to parse it.

go to start > run > services.msc > enter > windows firewall and let me know if it's on or not. If it's on, try stopping it then connecting.

As far as i can see it cant be a hardware problem. Since i can get online. The thing is, recently I had the virus burst. It gave me issues when I opened up pages that told me how to remove it. I managed to remove it (I think), but the fact that certain programs don't recognize me as having an internet connection makes me think there is something preventing that.
