Please visit this webpage for instructions for downloading and running ComboFix. Post the log from ComboFix when you've accomplished that, along with a new HijackThis log.

Hello CyberTech, And thanks very much for the reply, I was getting very desperate for help.. I'm in the UK so I might not be able to action back as quick as I wish to your replies.. Just before I do that I thought I would inform you that I have done the following: I updated to the latest version of Spybot and ran it, then deleted Virtumonde.generic and also some virtumonde DLLs, but i am very uncertain that SpyBot was able to fully resolve this. I am also unsure of what I may have removed as upon startup my PC looks for some DLL files and return an error message that advises DLL not found.. I also downloaded Ad-aware from Lavasoft and ran it thereafter but it found nothing. I also always upon startup get the following error message: "SmartBridge Alert MotiveSB.exe not found" "The procedure Entry Point GetProcessImagefileNameW could not be loaded in the dynamic link Library PSAPI.dll" I tried to resolve all the Virtumonde problem myself and have maybe done more harm than good to the overall health of the PC.. It seems that my internet is less erratic (ie: I can access yahoo and also TechSupportGuy, but everytime I start my computer a lot of black dll screens open up and close, I think they are probably spotted and stopped by SpyBot. In light of this, what shall I do? Do I still download the Combofix, run it and do an HJT and then post logs here? Please advise. Dimitri

The dll error message may be good or bad. Just need to see the logs to know. It would be helpful if you could post what dll(s) are missing. I would still advise running ComboFix and be sure to install Recovery Console!!

Hi CyberTech, sorry to bother you again.. Spybot stops me from downloading combofix.. It tells me I cannot save it and I should save it under a alphanumeric code.. Also if I want to remove spybot it tells me it created a restore point and I might loose the restore point.. I have 2 spybots: Search & destroy and Spybotsd152.. I have windows popping up from spybot giving me option Allow change and deny change - I always tick remember this and click allow change. Now I am just recovering all DLLs from Spybot, this might create problems again with internet, but I think this is what blocks the combofix download. will retry and avdvise and/or post the scan results here. DLL - the error message I get is this: " RUNDLL: error loading c:\windows\system32\vtdincon.dll the specified module could not be found" Sorry it seems more complicated now.. I am not sure what to do.. I hope you can tell me.. dimitri Last edited by Dimi73; 22-May-2008 at 05:16 PM..

Running ComboFix is easy. Are you concerned about installing recovery console? Also you can copy the text from the instruction page and paste it into notepad if you want to.
