ms antivirus infection + browser hijack
hi,

I am running windows xp student edition service pack 3

I recently (and stupidly) opened an exe file that my dad had unknowingly downloaded by mistake and put on cd. When i opened it i got popups everywhere from ms antivirus telling me to scan with their software etc etc. The desktop background was changed to an image saying virus detected and i got shortcuts placed all over my desktop.

Also both firefox and internet explorer seem to have been hijacked as they are both acting erratically and whenever i search for something in google and click on a result i see the address in the bottom left flashing up as analitical-checks.google.com or something like that and i am then taken to an ad page which is highly irritating.

I scanned with spybot s&d, ad aware, and avg. They seem to have stopped the popups and shortcuts but my browsers are still acting the same. When i boot up my machine it gets up to the welcome screen then i get the error message:

"Windows-Drive not Ready
Exception Processing Message c00000a3 Parameters 75b6bf7c475b6bf7c75b6bf7c
[Try Again] [Continue] [Cancel]"

When i click try again the same message comes up so the only way to get past it is to click continue

Then when my desktop loads up i get this error message:

"Run DLL
Error loading C:\WINDOWS\System32\hqdeuufx.dll
The specified module could not be found"

I also get a lot of popups from spybot s&d's resident shield thing saying that a startup value is attempting to change from hqdeuufx.dll to other randomly named .dll files

This is REALLY irritating me as my machine was running great recently after a fresh install of my OS, any help would be greatly appreciated
