| for the past few days I've been getting an 'Open File Security Warning' pop up when I log in. "The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?" Name; tvenelnnv.exe Publisher: unknown Type: Application from: C:\windows\system32 this give me an option to Run or Cancel and of course there's the box to tick to always ask before opening. I have McAffee installed and it detect no problems. If I choose cancel it pops up again but disappera if canceled again. However it returns next time I log on. If Ichoose Run it pops up again but nothing happens apart from my usual applications continuing to load. I have searched on Google to no avail, absolutely nothing. I tried to rename the file, but it returned. I tried to delete the file, but it returned. I unticked the box to stop the message popping up, but it returned. As i said, it doesn't appear to be doing anything but I can't get rid of the little pest. Any suggestions? |

| Excellent ![]() let's reset your hidden/system files and folders. System files are hidden for a reason and we don't want to have them openly available and susceptible to accidental deletion.
Reset and Re-enable your System Restore to remove infected files that have been backed up by Windows. The files in System Restore are protected to prevent any programs from changing those files. This is the only way to clean these files: (You will lose all previous restore points which are likely to be infected)
Now that you are clean, to help protect your computer in the future I recommend that you get the following free programs:
To keep your operating system up to date visitmonthly. And to keep your system clean run these free malware scanners weekly, and be aware of what emails you open and websites you visit. To learn more about how to protect yourself while on the internet read this about Security online: General Security Information, How to tighten Security Settings and Warnings Have a safe and happy computing day! eddie
