Self running mysterious audio file making me crazy! help!
Hello - this is my first time posting, so I hope I can provide as many details as possible. Last week, I started receiving "alerts" from "av2009" claiming to be an antivirus software and it wanted my credit card info saying my PC had been infected. This, obviously was spyware or some adware thing. I upgraded my webroot antivirus and spyware since it had expired Nov., and it found a bunch of trojan horses and other viruses that I have no idea how they got onto my hard drive.

Since then, there's been this mysterious audio file running saying "congratulations, you have been selected to win a free laptop computer". While this is funny, it's driving me crazy. Both yesterday and today, my AV software (webroot) has found one bad virus each day. I have deleted them of course, but the audio file is still running!

The irony is, I don't know when it's going to run or why - I haven't found a pattern or noticed that it's when I do something in particular. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this?

Also - why did I get a virus two days in a row if 1 - My firewall is ON and 2 - I have antivirus and spyware software?

Any insight you have would be great!
