Hello

About a month ago my computer was infected by Vundo, I have since removed it (seemingly) and am no longer receiving popups, but the computer is still very slow to load programs. Any time I try to launch an application, be it Firefox or Control Panel or even notepad the computer will take minutes to start the application. Once the applications are open they run normally, the only difference is when I need to launch something, as then it will take ages.

In addition, I have McAfee installed, but any time I try to run a scan with it it throws an error:
Scanning has encountered a problem from which it cannot recover.
Here are the problem details:
-Error starting On Demand Scanner.

I've also tried contacting McAfee and using their "Virtual Technician" but they were not able to help.

Like I said, I have already removed the Vundo infection, I don't receive any popups and there are no other signs of infection, but I cannot figure out why it is still going so slow.

I am thinking that maybe in the process of the spyware removal some Windows file was corrupted or removed, but I am not sure.
