See if you have this Registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\WAB\WAB4
In the WAB4 folder in the right hand pane, do you see a D-Word Type, Named: UseOutlook?
With a Value of (1) or (0) ?

Don't change anything, we are just looking.

No - what I have as Dwords are FirstRun witha a value of one, and then Olkcontactrefresh, and then olkfolderrefresh - both with a value of 0 and at the top ab with a type reg sz with no value. Hope this helps. will not get into the hijack scene until I hear back. Away for the weekend now

Just thought you should know - the riddle is touch wood solved - I disabled Plaxo - and the autodeletion stopped. Apparently Plaxo doesn't get on well with Outlook - so there you go. I can live without Plaxo for the moment. So no need to examine the hijack log above. Thanks for the help anyway
