Solved: browser hijacked, 2nd time

Hi all,
A while back I got a couple viruses (trojans) that messed with firefox, doing the same things that almost every other post is talking about. Links redirected, random ads popping up when the browser is closed. This happened before, and I tried fixing it with countless avg and adaware scans in safe mode. I gave up and just dealt with it, but then my computer started freezing during startup, after log in. Then it would freeze before the login screen, I couldnt even start in safe mode. I had my hard drive wiped, and everything was good for a few weeks. Now the redirecting problem is back, and an AVG scan found a trojan called "Vundo.fj" in the system32 file. I didnt want to try any of the software memtioned in other posts because I have no idea what im doing. Here is the log from HJT:

With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have the Windows Recovery Console pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal.

The Windows Recovery Console will allow you to boot up into a special recovery (repair) mode. This allows us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware. It is a simple procedure that will only take a few moments of your time.

Go to Microsoft's website => http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310994

Select the download that's appropriate for your Operating System

Download the file & save it as it's originally named.

Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools.

Please note once you start ComboFix you should not click anywhere on the ComboFix window as it can cause the program to stall.

Drag the setup package onto ComboFix.exe and drop it.
Follow the prompts to start ComboFix and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Recovery Console.
At the next prompt, click 'Yes' to run the full ComboFix scan.
When the tool is finished, it will produce a report for you.

Please post the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.

Thanks for the advice! Unfortunately, my dad decided to give up and buy a new laptop because this is probably the 7th or 8th problem we've had with it. Thanks anyway!

No problem! Perhaps the laptop could use a new format and reload of the OS to be an extra machine.
