I have searched the interwebs and this is the best place I could find. I really hope you guys can help. I read many stickies but it's still probable I'll make a mistake.

• Windows Vista
• Mozilla Firefox (newest stable version)
• McAfee Security Center (newest version)
• Comodo Firewall (newest) and Comodo Safesurf v. 1.0.0.7
• The problem stops after I unplug my modem or get to task manager if it loads

Okay, I visited a site I have been to many times before dating back a couple of years. The site now has many ads and such now. When on a page recently something was trying to load the url "http://zlzu.ru/doriu/pdf.php?f=all" unexpectedly. This caused my browser to go wild and the resources being used in Task Manager went up to the 280k range for Firefox alone. The pdf continued to try to load and everything froze until I unplugged my modem. Then after pressing CTRL+ALt+DLT I got a "failed to something security options" message (not sure exactly). I then pressed again and my task manager came up.

I was able to close the tab which this unauthorized "pdf" was trying to load in afterwards. I shut everything down did scans, cleared browser cookies etc., defragmented. YOU NAME IT I did the basics and everything came back clean. Then I went back to this site to report the issue. Everything was fine until I tried to access a certain thread again. All of a SUDDEN it happened except faster this time. The same url tried to load a PDF into my browser by the time it loaded it was about 12 characters of numbers and letters in the PDF and that's it.

I reported the issue to the site they said they "ran tests but nothing came back, it might be on your end." I went back to cruising on this site and luckily no problems. Then after I thought it was over I went to another site and this page of a PDF was trying to redirect me again. This time it was a new url not http://zlzu.ru/doriu/pdf.php?f=all. I don't know the exact url but it was something like "http://xxxx.ru/x/pdf.php?f=all". The .ru and others were the same.

I fear this might continue or get worse. I'm thinking I should do some of these things:

• Uninstall Adobe (but I have so many components like Photoshop, reader etc, which to delete?)
• Uninstall browser
• Uninstall McAfee (get new programs)

I've been waiting on this issue patiently but it looks like this place has too many requests right now. Is there somewhere else I can discuss this. Or can someone just check the hijackthis log if my info was too much to read.
