Hi, I was investigating some old data from an old computer that we used to have and I accidentally opened a file that I'm almost certain must be doing something bad and secretive on my new computer now. How can I find out what its doing and how can I stop it. I've taken a hijack this log I've tried scanning my computor with avast antivirus (I even scanned the file itself but nothing was found). What can I do? I still have the file if anyone wants to investigate the file itsel (would it be safe to try to open it in some sort of editor to see whatexactly it does?) Its only about 200 or 300 kilobyts (which is way to small if it was what its title says it is).
