Help! Computer Freezing at weird times, possible virus
About 7 days ago my computer started experiencing this problem. Somewhere in between 30 minute and an hour of my system being on it will freeze completly and I won't be able to click anything. This problem was accompnied by slowing of my system. When I restart my computer it will boot normally and freeze 30 minutes later. Sometimes thou it will go to the User sign-in screen and then after about 7 seconds go all black with only a cursor on the screen. When it reaches this point I am forced to restart my computer because there seems to be no other option.

7 days ago Kaspersky (my regular anti-virus) detected a virus with the file name ~.exe. And labeled it riskware Trojan.generic. I don't know what this mean but I appears to have quarentined it even though the problem persists. I also regularly run Spysweeper which isn't picking up anything that isn't normal.

In order to combatthe problem I downloaded Spybot S&D, which found a bunch of problem but didn't fix the problem. I also downloaded Malwarebytes but I don't have enough time to run a full scan before my computer freezes so I'm not sure if it'll help.

Someone plz help me fix this problem, I don't know if it's a virus or a software problem or a hardware problem or what. Any advise is appreciated.

Bump

I can run my computer in safe mode without it freezing and I have now finished a full scan of my system with Malwarebytes. It also came up with nothing.

The problem at the log in screen is becoming more frequent. After about 10 seconds everything will go black with only my cursour on the screen which is free to move around. The only way I can log in is if I log in quickly and log in before my computer has a chance to black out.
