Unhappy [Win7rc & IE8] 'Address not valid'-error.
Hi everyone,

I have the same error explained in this thread:
http://forums.techguy.org/malware-re...ing-wrong.html

The only thing is, I just preformed a completely clean install of Windows 7 rc (64-bit). After the installation is complete, I try to run Windows Update, but that doesn't work. It's also impossible to open different search engines like google, yahoo of Bing. A dutch technical forum called Tweakers (http://tweakers.net) works great. Some other sites do too..

Allmost all microsoft sites that are usually launched the first time IE is used don't work and the default microsoft start page only displays plain text.

I used a DVD directly downloaded from Microsoft so I assume there's no spyware on it. I also tried build 7102 and that gave exact the same problem.

I hope someone can help me?

Oh I forgot to mention this.
Whenever I try to launch Windows Update I get a error 1014 in my Event Viewer (with source DNS) that some url cannot be resolved.
My new computer is attached (wired) to the same router my older computer (WinXP) is and that machine works great.
