Unhappy slow to load then hangs and crashes
IE is acting like it will launch then I get "Not Responding" in task amanger and then obviously I have to close. When I am in my email (AOL) I click on a message, it will open and when I click on a link, it hangs, then the "Not Responding" shows up when I check task manager. I purchased SjpybotSearchand Destroy. This helped somewhat, to the point I thought it was ok then it started again. I had to remove Mozilla Firefox because it wouldn't load at all.
I took off all my toolbars except Google which I use. I then took off Google because I read it was a culprit. It helped but not totally. I have been using Webroot Antivirus/Spyware, Error Smart and PC Registry (all before I had the problem).

Please click here to download and install the HijackThis installer.

Run it and select Do a system scan and save a logfile.

The log will be saved in Notepad. Copy and paste the log in your next post.

Do not fix anything

If you can't use the Internet on a your computer, try booting in Safe Mode with Networking and try using IE. If no luck, use a working computer to download the program and copy it to a USB flash drive. Plug it into your faulty computer and run the program.

Use a friend's computer or the one at work. Or, an Internet Cafe...

You are infected, we will get a Malware Pro here to clean this up right and when it's over, please go get a real antivirus and an antispyware program such as Nod32, Bit Defender or Kaspersky and Superantispyware or Malwarebytes paid versions.

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here.

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish, so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to restart. (See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy and paste the entire report in your next reply.
Extra Note:

If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

I have deleted the two posts from another poster, so that they can start their own thread.
