Exclamation Need Help, attempting to clean old Windows ME computer without internet access...
Before I begin here are a few pieces of information you should know.

1. I have three computers: A DELL running Windows XP, A MAC running OS 10, and an old DELL running Windows ME
2. My ISP provider is Comcast and I have a Linksys Wireless Router which provides internet to both my MAC and XP machines. My Windows ME computer however can't seem to connect with the router so I have no internet on that machine.
3. Finally, my Windows ME computer is filled with malware and I am having a tough time trying to remove it without internet access.

Today, I managed to install Nod32 Standard Version (Windows 95/98/ME) onto my ME machine by downloading the EXE on my XP computer burning it onto a CD, inserting the disk into my ME machine, and running the installation process on that computer. Unfortunately, since I don't have internet on that computer, I wasn't able to update the virus database because I don't have internet on that computer. I ran 2 in-depth scans anyway though and on the first one it detected 1000+ pieces of malware (most of which were trojans) but was only able to remove a lackluster 6 pieces. The second scan had similar results.

Right now I'm not really sure what coarse of action to take but if anyone could help me with these questions, that would be extremely beneficial.

Why am I not able to connect to my wireless network? Is it because my computer is so old that wireless routers were not even available option at the time?

Is there another anti-malware solution I should try? I am considering using DR.WEB's bootable disk but I am still indecisive.

Is there a way I could simply wipe my system clean and install Ubuntu? There is no important information on there so deleting everything on there wouldn't be a problem.
