Exclamation Trojan SPM/LX infection and desktop change to "Your Sysytem is Infected"-- HiJack Log
I have the whole "Attention! System deteced a potential hazard (Trojan SPM/LX) on your computer that may infect executable files..." message and the red circle with white X and pop up in the toolbar. I am trying to fix this before it gets any further or any worse. Below is my hijack log. Help is much appreciated!!! I don't know a whole lot about computer systems but am confident in following suggestions and instructions. Thanks for the help.

I could really use some help with this. I have gotten lots of good advice on TSG before but can't seem to pick up any relpies with this one. I know this is a problem for others as I can see from the forums, but I really am not sure on exactly how to take care of it in my case. Any help is appreciated as the computer is unable to connect to IE and I am afraid that even if it does, that I may be transmitting personal information. If you can help in any way it is much appreciated!

Thanks!

Download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
  • Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
  • Under Main choose: Select All
  • Click the Empty Selected button.

Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here.

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.
Extra Note:

If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediatly.

as requested I am posting the MBAM log below. Please let me know if everything seems back to normal or if there are other steps to take to finish cleaning up. Also, is there any way I can protect things like this from happening again?... a program recommended to use?
