ÿ9ÿ9 zero byte file On many forums I have found users trying to find out, and remove this file. I paid Norton $99 to remove this from my computer. They told me they put a FAKE file by that name in my documents ! It came back the first time I rebooted!
Here is how to get rid of this file that does belong to an app and is condidered malware. Antispyware and Norton Security Suite says nothing about this file.
Go to RUN and type msconfig, DISABLE all start up files. Reboot and you can delete the file easily. Then do not re-inable your start up files. Add one startup file at a time and keep checking in My documents which app installed the ÿ9ÿ9 zero byte file that is always in use by another app.
I had only 2 startup items running until I did the add one at a time. There maybe more than one app ant although this is tedious it will give you some satisfaction when you find the app that uses it!
