Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here.

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish, so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to restart. (See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy and paste the entire report in your next reply.
Extra Note:

If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

This is the second time I've run it but it didn't find anything either time. The first one is with AVAST on and that's why the log shows the registry keys. I uninstalled AVAST temporarily due to testing.

Let's check for a rootkit.

Download GMER from: http://gmer.net/index.php

Save it on your desktop and unzip it.

Double click the gmer.exe to run it and select the rootkit tab and press scan. When the scan is done, click Copy. This will copy the report to the clipboard. Paste it into Notepad and save it and also paste the log report back here please.

Please do an online scan with Kaspersky WebScanner

Kaspersky online scanner uses JAVA tecnology to perform the scan. If you do not have Java then you will need to go to the following link and download the latest version:

JRE 6 Update 16

Instructions for Kaspersky scan:
  1. Read through the requirements and privacy statement and click on Accept button.
  2. It will start downloading and installing the scanner and virus definitions. You will be prompted to install an application from Kaspersky. Click Run.
  3. When the downloads have finished, click on Settings.
  4. Make sure the following is checked.
    • Spyware, Adware, Dialers, and other potentially dangerous programs
      Archives
      Mail databases
  5. Click on My Computer under Scan.
  6. Once the scan is complete, it will display the results. Click on View Scan Report.
  7. You will see a list of infected items there. Click on Save Report As....
  8. Save this report to a convenient place. Change the Files of type to Text file (.txt) before clicking on the Save button.
  9. Please post this log in your next reply.

It actually ended up scanning all my computers shared folders because they're networked together and didn't find anything except for that crossloop thing.

So you have used Crossloops for remoting into the computer intentionally?

I never even set up crossloop on the computer I'm having this problem with. I use it on a totally different computer to help with my kids homework. That D drive is only a backup for downloads and that is where I stored the install file.

Are you saying that Crossloop is somehow running on this computer without my knowledge?

No, it's only in that backup folder so it would be the installation files you downloaded.

Please post a new HijackThis log.

I hope I'm doing this the correct way. I just use the default settings and "system scan and save log". Is there another setting I have to configure?

Not a clue. Do you know what that is?
The XFI software came with the Rampage Extreme motherboard and installs into it's own directory.

Something bad happened today. My nice expensive brand new HD4890 video card went South and I'm sending it back to ASUS for repair so my computer will be down for awhile. I'm going to see if I can get a cheap PCI card for troubleshooting but I may be SOL for at least 10 days, maybe more.
