Exclamation 16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem error
hi, i have a problem that started around a month ago, i tried lots of ways to fix it, but couldn't..

When my Win XP starts up i get a several:

16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem
C:\WINDOWS\system32\win.exe
The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction

and when i try to open "Task Manager" or "System Restore" or "Redistery Editor" i get a similar one, i couldn't even get HJT to run!
even my "Windows Update" and "AVG Antivirus" are disabled.

appreciate any help
thank you in advance..

Smile soultion
i found out that the virus i have is "autorun.inf" and stored on my computer as "autorun.exe". i used the program "combfix" - please don't use without use of some expert's help! - and then had my computer scanned with "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware" and then had my "system restore points" cleared.

now my computer is virus free

this is the solution for my problem to help anyone who has a similar one, if you think you want to try this please search for information about "combofix" because it is an advanced program that can do harm to your computer and is supposed to be used along with experts advice.
