Thanks again for the help with this :3

programs to uninstall via add/remove programs

Adobe Reader 6.0
Ask Toolbar
Easy Internet Sign-up
HijackThis 1.99.1
Java(TM) 6 Update 11
Learn2 Player (Uninstall Only)

Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the codebox below into it:
Code:
@echo off
cls
echo.......Deleting leftover files....
attrib -h -a -s c:\windows\system32\adeeg.bak1
del c:\windows\system32\adeeg.bak1
attrib -h -a -s c:\windows\system32\adeeg.bak2
del c:\windows\system32\adeeg.bak2
attrib -h -a -s c:\windows\system32\adeeg.ini2
del c:\windows\system32\adeeg.ini2
del %0
Save this as fix.bat
Choose to "Save type as - All Files"
Save it on your desktop.

It should look like this:
Double click on fix.bat & allow it to run

Is there harm in leaving the ask toolbar? I think my neighbor still uses it.

And should ad-aware SE go as it seems to be old enough that it wouldn't let me get an update for it?

-starts on the rest-

Edit: Ah, Hijack This 1.99.1 was on one of several of my flash drive from a previous cleaning at least a year ago and it's trying to read from said USB drive where the files don't exist. What'd be the best thing for that?

The rest is done now :3

Ask Toolbar still re-directs your browser, but its really up to you. Your version of Hijackthis is old too.

How is everything else running???

It's running well now :3 Or at least, it feels like it did just after I'd added more ram to this machine. :3

Yeah, I took that 1.99 version off my flash drive a few months ago...it's not on her computer, either, it's just the add/remove prompt at this point. ^^;
