Your logs look good!! So if you are not having any further problems, I would suggest you proceed as follows.

MBAM and ATF are great tools for you to keep and use on a regular basis.

Remove Combofix

• Click START then RUN
• Now type Combofix /u in the runbox and click OK ( please note the space between Combofix and the /, it is needed.)
• 

The above procedure will reset your System Restore and clear out the backups and quarantines created during the course of this fix.


Now that the infection is gone lets try to keep it that way by following the below recommendations.

Make your Internet Explorer more secure - This can be done by following these simple instructions:

• From within Internet Explorer click on the Tools menu and then click on Options.
• Click once on the Security tab
• Click once on the Internet icon so it becomes highlighted.
• Click once on the Custom Level button.
  • Change the Download signed ActiveX controls to Prompt
  • Change the Download unsigned ActiveX controls to Disable
  • Change the Initialise and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe to Disable
  • Change the Installation of desktop items to Prompt
  • Change the Launching programs and files in an IFRAME to Prompt
  • Change the Navigate sub-frames across different domains to Prompt
  • When all these settings have been made, click on the OK button.
  • If it prompts you as to whether or not you want to save the settings, press the Yes button.

Here are some free programs I recommend that could help you improve your computer's security.

Update your Antivirus programs and other security products regularly to avoid new threats that could infect your system. If you do not update your anti virus software then it will not be able to catch any of the new variants that may come out.

You can use one of these sites to check if any updates are needed for your pc.

Install MVPS Hosts File from here
The MVPS Hosts file replaces your current HOSTS file with one containing well know ad sites etc. Basically, this prevents your computer from connecting to those sites by redirecting them to 127.0.0.1 which is your local computer.

Sorry about the delay, I have been away from the computer until today. I have performed the cleanup items and done the various updates, but seem to be caught at the MVPS Hosts File installation step. I get lost on the link and am not sure how I am supposed to proceed? Could you clarify how I install this?

When using the MVPS Hosts file, and it's set to block a particular url, a blank area is displayed in the window where the ad would normally be displayed. That is how it is supposed to work when an ad is trying to come in via a url that the Hosts file is supposed to block.

This is normal behavior. The MVPS Hosts file blocks junk. That's what it is supposed to do. There is a lot of search and edit functions that you could experiment with.

If you find it is not to your liking you can restore your Hosts file back to its default condition. To do this:-

HostXpert
Download HostXpert from here & save it to your desktop

• Right click on HostsXpert.zip and select Extract All...
• Click Next on seeing the Welcome to the Compressed (zipped) Folders Extraction Wizard
• Click on the Browse button. Click on Desktop. Then click OK
• Once done, check (tick) the Show extracted files box and click Finish
• Once extracted, HostsXpert folder will open
• Double click on HostsXpert.exe to start it
• Check to see if top button on left hand side says Make Writable ?
• If it does. click on it then proceed to next instruction.
• If not, just proceed to next instruction
• Click on Restore MS Hosts File to restore your Hosts file to its default condition.
• When prompted to confirm, click OK.
• Click on Make Read Only ? to secure it against further infection.
• Exit the programme.
