Hi there
As subject says any browsers i use keep crashing on me and it's becoming increasingly frustrating. I mainly use google chrome or firefox but IE crashes too. I checked the add-ons for firefox and they are only avg add-ons(safe search and security toolbar)
In the add on list is also microsoft .net framework assistant which is greyed out because it's not compatible with firefox 3.5.4 that's been there only in the last few days, my browsers have always crashed.
Firefox gets so bad that every week or so it crashes before it even opens and i have to uninstall and reinstall it
I have 2 gig of ram, a gforce 9600 graphics card and am running xp if any of that helps?

most likely your issue is malware...

Please download malwarebytes and run a full scan...

Can you open your browsers after booting in Safe Mode with Networking? Do they still crash?

excuse my ignorance but what do you mean 'with networking' able to access the internet?

edit: ok i just restarted my computer and it's been that long since i've started it up in safe mode i don't even remember how to do it. hit f12 when the loading screen comes up? ffs i sound like a tool

scratch that. i am now in 'safe mode with networking' and am connected

ok they crash at random and i only left it running for maybe half an hour as it's just way too slow, worse than dial up. so in that half hour period it didn't crash but that doesn't tell me anything
i've always had this niggling feeling that something isn't compatible...ie graphics card. since any games crash also, but i'm always assured it's fine...

i'm guessing you probably would like me to run some things in safe mode for a while to see if anything crashes..i'm also guessing this is your sleeping hour so i will do that a bit later when my patience isn't so thin and get back to this thread

You should get rid of the Ask toolbar. It's associated with adware.

Also, you could try a Clean Boot to isolate a possible culprit.
