karebear:

Things would go faster and smoother if you would follow all my instructions and answer all my questions without me having to repeat myself.

Are you aware of what ExitRealty Webspace is and why it's in your computer? If you're not, we'll get rid of it.

----------------------------------------------------------------

I've got things to do and am going off-line for awhile. I'll get back to your thread later.

I'm sorry, I must have missed that you asked me about the ExitRealty Webspace in the last post. other than that I have followed everything you said to a tee.
I have no clue why that is on my computer, I don't ever use it.
I appreciate all your help tremendously!
thank you

Start HijackThis and run a scan, then put a checkmark in:

O2 - BHO: ERBHOMasterObject Class - {5A15CA85-DAB9-456c-95ED-06C6E3885C2A} - C:\Program Files\ExitReality\Webspace\System\ExitRealityHelper.dll

O8 - Extra context menu item: Visit in &3D using ExitReality - http://3d.exitreality.com/TransmogrifyPage.htm

then click Fix Checked - Yes.

Close HijackThis.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Now we're going to trim down the startup load. Some of these startup entries and services don't need to load and run at all, and others can be manually started when needed.

(Note: The .exe part of the name may not be present in your computer)

Click Start - Run, type in MSCONFIG and then click OK - Startup(tab).

Remove the checkmark in:

nwiz - nwiz.exe

CTHelper - CTHELPER.EXE

Smart Start UP C:\Program Files\NewSoft\Smart Start UP\PnPDetect.exe

HP Software Update C:\Program Files\HP\HP Software Update\HPWuSchd2.exe

QuickTime Task C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe

Adobe Reader Speed Launcher C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\Reader_sl.exe

Adobe Photo Downloader C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Album Starter Edition\3.2\Apps\apdproxy.exe

KernelFaultCheck %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k

WorksFUD C:\Program Files\Microsoft Works\wkfud.exe

UpdReg C:\WINDOWS\UpdReg.EXE

NvCplDaemon RUNDLL32.EXE C:\WINDOWS\System32\NvCpl.dll,NvStartup

Microsoft Works Update Detection C:\Program Files\Microsoft Works\WkDetect.exe

Microsoft Works Portfolio C:\Program Files\Microsoft Works\WksSb.exe

Jet Detection C:\Program Files\Creative\SBLive\PROGRAM\ADGJDet.exe

SunJavaUpdateSched C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\jusched.exe

NBJ C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero BackItUp\NBJ.exe

IncrediMail C:\Program Files\IncrediMail\bin\IncMail.exe

After you're done, click Apply - OK - Exit Without Restart.

Click Start - Run, type in SERVICES.MSC and then click OK.

Expand the services window so you can see the list more clearly.

Double-click on or right-click on and then click Properties on:

Apple Mobile Device - Apple Inc.

Bonjour Service - Apple Inc.

Creative Service for CDROM Access - Creative Technology Ltd

Google Update Service (gupdate1ca252e9ce6b2d0) (gupdate1ca252e9ce6b2d0) - Google Inc.

InstallDriver Table Manager (IDriverT) - Macrovision Corporation

Intuit Update Service (IntuitUpdateService) - Intuit Inc.

Java Quick Starter (JavaQuickStarterService) - Sun Microsystems, Inc.

NVIDIA Display Driver Service (NVSvc) - NVIDIA Corporation

Ulead Burning Helper (UleadBurningHelper) - Ulead Systems, Inc.

If "Startup Type" is set on Automatic, change it to Manual and then click Apply - OK. You have to do one service entry at a time.

After you're done, close the services window and then restart your computer.

When the small "System Configuration Utility" window appears during restart, ignore the message. Put a checkmark in that window and then click OK.

--------------------------------------------------------------

After all of the above has been done, start HijackThis and run a scan, then post that new log here.
