| Download OTS.exe to your Desktop and double-click on it to extract the files. It will create a folder named OTS on your desktop.
NOTE: The only people who can see attachments in the HJT forum are: the thread starter, Admins & Mods, and HJT Helpers & Trainees. |

| Run HJT again, Right click and Run as Administrator, put a check in the following: O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [UACEnableEntry] regedit.exe /s C:\Users\Louis\AppData\Local\Temp\\UAC_Enable.reg O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [TurboNet] C:\Users\Louis\AppData\Local\Temp\a.exe Close all applications and browser windows before you click "fix checked". Please download the OTM by OldTimer.
Start OTS. Copy/Paste the information in the Code box below into the pane where it says Paste fix here and then click the Run Fix button. Code: [Empty Temp Folders] The fix should only take a very short time. When the fix is completed a message box will popup telling you that it is finished. Click the Ok button and Notepad will open with a log of actions taken during the fix. Post that information back here. I will review the information when it comes back in. Download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program. Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediatly. |

| No problems anymore Cybertech =) Although my disc drive does often open of its own accord when restarted (only sometimes) and when I push it back in, it opens again until I restart the computer again... I've contacted my manufacturer who has said it could be a virus, but I doubt it. It's been happening ever since I've had it, which is about a year ago - just haven't been bothered with it. They said to reinstall windows, so this shall be fun! Thanks so much for your help! You are the greatest! ![]() |

| I've seen machines that have the disc drive problem. In my case(s) it was a sticky button on the disc drive door. If I opened the case (this was a desktop, not a laptop) the drive did not open. Nice design! ![]() You should remove all of the tools I requested you to download and/or folders associated with them now. It is pointless to keep these tools around as they are updated so frequently that the tools can be outdated within a few days, sometimes within just hours. Reset and Re-enable your System Restore to remove infected files that have been backed up by Windows. The files in System Restore are protected to prevent any programs changing those files. This is the only way to clean these files: (You will lose all previous restore points which are likely to be infected) 1. Turn off System Restore.
2. Restart your computer. 3. Turn ON System Restore.
NEXT
Now you should Clean up your PC You're welcome! |
