Question Unknown error message ifmw.kqo
I logged on recently to my computer that runs XP Home SP2, under my administrator account and an error message that pops up says:

"Error Loading ifmq.kqo
The Specified Module Could not Be Found."

I've been messing around with my computer for about 3 hours trying to figure out what this is and in the meantime have removed some other infections, but if this is an infection I can't get rid of it, and none of my scanning has found anything with it, programs used including AVG, Lavasoft Ad-Aware, and Spybot S+D.

I've scanned all my processes and couldn't find anything that I didn't recognize or that shouldn't be there that I know of, but I will attach an HJT if anyone thinks it might help.

Any help regarding this message would be appreciated.

Thanks In Advance,

Annashi

Your system is (or was) infected. The fact that the module can't be found would indicate the infection was removed, but not all traces of it are gone.
I've asked for this to be moved to the Malware Forum. Be patient, they are very busy, You can read the stickies at the top for more info on that particular forum

Alright thanks, I spent quite some time removing quite a few things and whatnot and probably missed some. I'll wait for an appropriate reply.

UPDATE/EDIT:

Been messing with it seems like the only thing I didn't clear was the process it was right at the top of the HJT list and I skimmed past it, went back and found it, the F2 section, had HJT Delete the process, and have gotten rid of the error.

Thanks for the quick reply Outcaste, but I think I'm good now, I'll be watching my system to make sure, but things seem okay after the delete and reboot.
