"thefeedwater" & "Antivirus System Pro"
OK, I have seen posts with the same problems I have but I wasn't sure if the advice they recieve will be the same as I require. I did a "whoopsie" and opened a file I really knew was just going to ruin my day but followed my stupid impulse of "oh this is probably legit." Anyway for the last, I dunno, 6 hours I have been fighting trojans, malware, and random reboots; now I finally have some room to wiggle through the internet.

As soon as I opened this can of worms McAfee alerted me of a few Trojans and such it had blocked and I thought I had skated by unscathed but that was foolish. I was soon up to my nose in fake alerts, Windows prompts telling me that my files are infected and asking me to open an antivirus, and my browsers; Opera, Firefox, and IE had become sabbotaged with hijacked links, and popups.

The prompts were blocking my programs from running and from allowing me to open Task Manager for awhile. After a few nasty random reboots and blue screens of death I got the process causing "Antivirus System Pro" to stop. Scan with McAfee showed nothing. Tried Spywall, nothing; Ad-Aware, 700orso bad cookies; malwarebytes, a bunch of trojans and malware. Still I have all my links in Opera taking me to "thefeedwater" sometimes in firefox, I can't even run IE, and I still have to kill "Antivirus System Pro" every start up. (Also I had to install Microsoft Visual c++ 2008 or something to get Ad-aware to run which only helped because before it cleared those cookies my computer would shut off just before Malwarebytes could finish it's scan.)

I might be rambling. I did a HJT scan but after I had killed a few processes that shouldn't have been running including the one for "Antivirus System Pro." Let me know if you want one without me messing with Task Manager. I would have already but I don't know how hard it will be to get back to this site after a reboot.

Well
For lack of anything better to do I ran Combofix despite every warning that I shouldn't without some expert telling me to do so. I'm just extremely sick of this! I am gonna post the logs.

Hi, Welcome to TSG!!

Download OTS.exe to your Desktop and double-click on it to extract the files. It will create a folder named OTS on your desktop.
  1. Close any open browsers.
  2. If your Real protection or Antivirus intervenes with OTS, allow it to run.
  3. Open the OTS folder and double-click on OTS.exe to start the program.
  4. In Additional Scans section put a check in Disabled MS Config Items and EventViewer logs
  5. Now click the Run Scan button on the toolbar.
  6. The program will be scanning huge amounts of data so depending on your system it could take a long time to complete. Let it run unhindered until it finishes.
  7. When the scan is complete Notepad will open with the report file loaded in it.
  8. Save that notepad file
Use the Reply button, scroll down to the attachments section and attach the notepad file here.

NOTE: The only people who can see attachments in the HJT forum are: the thread starter, Admins & Mods, and HJT Helpers & Trainees.

OTS log
Here it is. Also note all symptoms of the virus & malware are gone. I know that doesn't mean the problem is solved but just so you know.

Looks clear but there are two folders you should check out.
C:\Users\Scott & Norma\AppData\Local\fontatmgfx
AND
C:\-2136903220

Let me know what you find.

fontatmgfx is an empty folder. I don't know what the hell C:\-2136903220 is. I can't find it and entering it into the address bar brings up an Open With window.

C:\-2136903220 is a hidden folder. You need to show all files and folders to see it.

Delete the fontatmgfx folder.

What is TFC?

It's a file, not a folder?
I would probably move it to another folder or rename it. If I found no changes with the machine I would delete it.
