Will upgrading to Windows 7 remove malware
I have a new Dell computer with windows vista home premium. I have McAffe and SuperAntiapyware and have scanned and came up clean with McAffe. Dell scanned with SuperAntispyware and removed something but I didn't see what it was. However the problem still exist.

I can't scroll down on a lot of websites and in my printer programs, adobe, windows mail, settings etc. I can pull the scoll bar to the bottom of the page but it pops right back up to the top same goes for horizonal or trying to pick something from a list like my printer. I can't scroll to the printer it automatically pops back up to the top of the list.

I removed my mouse software and ditched my cordless and hooked up a corded mouse same thing happens no matter what mouse I use.

I tried system restore back to the day I got my computer and it got worse so I reversed that.

Dell sent me a Windows 7 upgrade (after 3 hours of trying to fix my computer) and said by upgrading to Windows 7 that would fix the problem.

Does that sound right? If indeed it is a malware problem and not an operating system problem would Windows 7 fix that? Or should I just try it then come back? I was just thinking if I could prevent any infection getting into Windows 7 that would be the wiser thing to do?

Just wondering if I did something wrong to get an answer? Please let me know if there is something else I should do. I would really appreciate some input before I upgrade to Windows 7.

Thanks!
