Upload new html page to domain
Hello everyone,

I have replaced an online store and I would like to have an announcement in the form of a picture on the front page of the old store.

The guy that I had this domain with gave me all the info so I could log in the old store, and he told me to upload a new html page in the ftp server to replace the current one to do this.

But I have no idea which file to replace.
I can't program either, but I've used one of those editors that converts stuff to html before and it worked fine.

I hope someone could help me with this. Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

Hyunato

P.S. I'll add two screenshots to hopefully make things clearer.

That is a Wordpress site.

If you just want a new landing page rename index.php with your ftp programme to be old_index.php and then upload your new html page and call it index.html.

That new page will load instead of your old site.

However, if you just want to change what is on the existing page and keep the rest of the site then you can do that through Wordpress page editor.

Thanks for your reply. Everything worked, but when I visit the old store it's asking me to login to the ftp for the picture. Even though it's in the public_html folder. How do I solve this?
