concatenation conundrum!!
Hi

I have a form where the user enters a url for their personal page in a text box. When this is sent to the database, I want to then be able to show the entry as a hyperlink in the table so users can click on the word 'contact' but to do this, somehow the <a href="">contact</a> will need to be added. The url that the user initially entered would go between the "".

Hope this is clear - thanks

You only need to put the information into the table, you can have the output on the web page be whatever you want it to be HTML wise and just inject the data in between your HTML. What server side scripting are you using?

I am using php - what you say is what I want to do - I want the user to enter a url and for the info to be sent to the database and returned onto another webpage as 'contact' which when clicked will go to the web page entered initially - I just dont kow ho to inject the data in between the html.

I am not PHP proficient, but all you need to do is create a string based on the table field content and place it within your html tag.
