establishing a weblog system as well as a photoalbum
i've been asked to create a website from a friend of mine. my friend is not really html savy and i am having trouble creating a weblog system in which he can just type his thoughts and daily synopsis. i need something where he types in what he wants and it automatically formats it and shows the date in which he wrote it. also he wants to include a photo album from his trips. and i don't know how to create something where he can just upload the pictures and then they will be placed in a photoalbum effect. so if anyone can help me it will be very much appreciated. thank you..

Just a tip, but that'd take more than html. You'd need php, javscript, the works.

You might want to look into Moveable Type
http://www.movabletype.org

and TypePad
http://www.typepad.com/

I believe both of these have blogging and photo album capabilities.

Although I like to use My Photo Gallery.
