Solved: I've searched and I don't see the answer to this one
We have a new web business getting ready to go live and using php to set up the database. Now, we've downloaded the database and I can edit the images just fine. However, I can't figure out how to edit the html. The reason I've been able to edit the images is that they are all in one folder.

What I want to do is place my file in dreamweaver and edit it there. But I don't know how to do that. I don't know which piece of the puzzle I'm looking for, kwim?

I have an admin folder, a cgi-bin folder, and an images folder and then I have a bunch of extra pieces the are in folders. Can someone tell me what piece of this puzzle I need to look for to start with in editing the entire shooting match in dreamwaver? Liz

You don't need to edit the html. This is a database driven web site, edit the areas in the admin section and it will update the content on the associated pages. Unless you are trying to edit the look of the pages do everything from the supplied admin interface. Cubecart also has a forum on their web site.

If it isn't a paid and registered version there are some things you cannot change.

It's the section under *about us* which should be able to be changed. I realize there are things that can't be changed in the unpaid-ed version but hey, they shouldn't be talking about us like we've been there for over a year. The legalese, yeah, that *I* understand, that stays! Liz

What are you talking about? You do not need dreamweaver to edit this page as it is all database driven. Log into the admin page and edit the "About Us" section with whatever you want to show on that page. Probably under "Site Documents"

It really has nothing to do with PHP. PHP is basically an active script language that can interface with a database and return the HTML...basically a program with an administrative interface.
