problems activating sound in ie 6's inbuilt media player
Im trying to make a hyperlink to a midi file open the left sided in-built media player in internet explorer. (This question applies to ie browsers with XPs service pack 1 only as service pack 2 has dne away with the built in media player and opens win media player 10 instead... )

In example 1
http://www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic...?ppn=mn0045310
Click on "Hear it" (just under GO on right side)
the midi sound file plays fine and overides ie browser media players'
media options/ settings/ask for preferred types.

Example 2
http://www.ezmusic4u.com/hearsample.htm

My browser was set there to "ask for preferred types" and although this was overrriden in example 1, in example 2 (my attempt) it would not override the setting" ask for preferred typres where I'd set that in the media player, and instead opens a OPEN SAVE CANCEL window.

So my question is is there some kinda of javascript or other code in the source page to example 1 that overrides the ie browsers media options settings?

I had a look but not being good with javascript did really understand it. If you could have a look yourself and indicate how I can creat the same overriding Id be grateful .....Im a mediocre web designer but Im excleent with online sound etc...if that would be any help in return .

Thanks
Mike
