Help with FTP Client: uploading webpage help
Hello,
i really need help with this.

i am the webmaster wfor a club at my school and the technology services changed the FTP client we used and now i am TOTALLY lost and wondering if you guys could help me.

here is the problem.

I have the Server Address. But regarding the FTP Client it states, "From on campus, you can use FTP, Telnet, or SSH to connect to servers mentioned above. However, from off campus you must use SSH (we recommend the SSH Secure Shell client ). Once connected, if you do not already have a folder named "web-docs" you must create one. Here you may upload whatever content you like, with the following exception: your main page must be called "index.html". For more information regarding SunRays or other software available for use with web page, check the links at the bottom of this page."

i AM OFF CAMPUS...so i need to use SSH Secure Shell client...however when i went to their website there are a bunch of client and i don't knwo which one to choose or where to put my server address in and start uploading my updated webpages onto the server for our club.

please help me...i am really lost.

i tried contacted the tech services but they never answer or email me back so your my last chance....

thanks in advance!

Glad to see you got it figured out...

You can use almost any FTP program on the net (eg WS FtpPro, FTP voyager etc), almost all of them support ssh encryption of at least the username password, which is most likey the thing your university is protecting, the files can most ikely be uploaded in binary or ascii.
