Question Mysql connection on localhost server
knowing me this is probably in the wrong place, but i have a problem.

i am designing my website in a combination of flash and php, i need to connect to a mysql database but my php tells me there is an error in my script. I am using phpmyadmin to connect to mysql in order to test my connection but i don't know my connection info.

i ma using mysql 4x on mysqld server. i have the newest version of php and phpmyadmin. i use apache for my server and that is also the latest version. The main file i used to test my connection was phpBB2 and that gave an error also.

any help would be much appretiated because i also use mysql for my visula basic programing.

Have you set any users up in mysql yet?

If not the default user is root with no password. I recommend you add a password and set another user up for use on your web pages as soon as you can.

What is the connection error given in your log file?
Error log is located in the data directory that you specified in your my.ini file. (NOTE If you didnt specify it, it is C:\mysql\data by default)

Once you get this info, you may find answers on the MYSQL manual
