Please Recommend Web Content Manager Software
Should have the following features:
* ability to assign begin and end display dates to articles
* capable of being (designed to be...) and add-on to current website

To give you a better idea of what I am looking for, I need my homepage to be current news at all times, with links to static information, with the look of all the pages the same. The website runs off a server. I am not looking for a company to provide a server or space, or to lease anything--I want to purchase software that can help automate my homepage (and other pages - "departmental-type" pages that will have news..).

THANKS for your suggestions!

Just about all of the content management systems ( cms ) come with those 2 details specified. It depends on how big your site is going to be. If it's going to be heavy on the users, you may want to go with post-nuke. If it's just for you or only a few users, you may like something like cute news or something to that effect.

A good portal site for cms programs ( just found it ) seems to be http://www.opensourcecms.com/index.php
