a forum should get the job done. does your company have a website? does it support php and mysql? if so, there are a multitude of free forums you can download. phpBB is a nice one, and very simple to install.

edit: you might also want to think about using a content management system (CMS) or sometimes refered to as groupware. most content management systems come with a forum of their own also, so you wouldn't need a seperate forum.

i think he will want something much more proffesional then proboards, proboards were good for when i was 12 and i needed a clan forum. rizzla, go to sourceforge.net and search for cms or groupware. there are dozens of cms programs, you just have to pick the one that is right for you.

There are several CMS programs available but the one I use on several sites is called phpWebsite. It is a free program and available at http://www.phpwebsite.appstate.edu/
