ftp help???
I have a small web server running at my house it is running red hat 9.

I m using a ftp program to send photo up to the server. It has the same name every time photo.jpg. but the webpage doesnt update it keeps the old photo. and there will be 5 files in my folder with the same name.

not sure what to do

What FTP client are you using? Usually there is a setting about what to do in case a file with the same name already exists: rename, prompt, replace.

It doesn't seem possible that the files could really have the exact same name.

i made a few changes and now it is replacing the photo in the folder but i get the white box with the red x in it where the oic is supposed to be

Is the filename Photo.jpg or photo.jpg? Upper or lower case? You have it upper case in your html.

What are the permissions on the file.
