Basic FTP questions/problems
I have set up an ftp server with my web hosting company. I downloaded WS-FTP and have been able to move files from my computer to the server via that program.

When I go to IE, I appear to log into the server, but my files aren't there. I am so lost. help?

Do you have folder view set up in the IE settings? You may also need to toggle the passive FTP settings.

Still not working :-(
I checked the view and changed to folder view but nothing shows still. I don't know what it means to toggle the passive settings in FTP. My web host helped set up the server. I can upload files all day long using WS-FTP, just can't get them to show on IE. I checked the FTP account I set up and it has full access.

Totally stumped here.

Open Internet Properties... In the Advanced tab, uncheck Enable folder view for FTP sites; also make sure the Use Passive FTP box is checked.
