Well my design is coming along ok at the moment but i need some ideas. I was thinking of making a header (banner,top section etc) but am not sure whether to just have the navigation on the left and the content beside it. This is only a start so no criticism on the quality just the design and what i can do to improve it.

Sucks.....just kidding!! I like it, it's clean, no garbage. I would use a different header image based on the links you are opening that relates to the page.
