What kinds of cool stuff can you do w/ PHP?
Hi, just finished learning HTML and CSS. Made my site using those two languages. Now I'm thinking of learning PHP, but don't know if it's worth it. What kinds of cool stuff can you do to a website using PHP?

And is it hard to learn.

Thanks

PHP makes designing websites so much easier.
- Commonly added content can be stored in a variable and added wherever u need it without having to write it over and over again.
- You can add different skins/layouts that visitors can pick
- PHP can be used to make message boards and chatrooms
- PHP uses similar stuff from other languages. So if you already know Perl, C, JS, then learning PHP will be easier and faster than if you don't know any other languages.

You can find out what PHP can do by looking at the names of the Chapters in the PHP manual. It can parse strings, use email and newsgroups, use databases, handle forms, sessions, and cookies, use compressed archives, send HTTP requests, calculate dates & times, access/edit files, use FTP, create dynamic images, manage ID3 tags, use IRC, encryption & hashing, and many other things.
