Can I set up my own log files on a host server?
My web site host provider deletes part of the log files related to my web site traffic. I want a full report on my web site visitors which I am not getting. Can I set up a log file of my own to grab web site visitor data? Can I set up a log file of my own independent of the log file established by my host provider?

Yep, you can make your own logging system.

What SSI's does your host have? PHP, perl, asp, asp.net?

PHP Guy...Thank you for the response.

The host offers php as a primary server side include. I have 10,000 pages on the site and that number will soon double. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you again.

10,000 pages How did you get 10,000 pages? Is it a commerce site or a forums site? Still, 10,000, wow.

Anyways,

Try this site. Then, find a script that fits what you want, be it detailed logs or simple ones. Then, if you have an include file on all 10,000 sites, include it that way. If not, just put it on an index page or high trafficed page, or spend a long night of editing pages..

Or, you could simply email your host and ask them why their deleting part of the logs.
