Design Help
I lack creativity for a good design. Unfortunately, this is the coolest design I've ever ome up with, and it stinks. www.caminator.com. Does anone have any ideas on waht I could do to make it a better looking site (besides adding content..hehe).

Also, I'm pretty new at this, so try to keep the suggestions towards beginner type stuff. Thanks!

You can always try a free template, look at the code to get an idea of what it is designed like, and modify it to your liking. I am not suggesting that you use the template alone, rather learn from it what you can do.

Surf the web and find something that you like. Mix and match ideas. See what looks good to you and go with it. I like to put a background on the page, but I am careful to make sure there is a good contrast so it is still easy to read. Personally, I do not like it when there is a black background and dark blue text . It is far too difficult to read so it won't keep my attention, even if it has useful information on it. Sometimes it just takes a little (or a lot) of trial and error to get to something you like.
