Cool Looking for advice on a good/free message board
I'd like to add a simple message board to a website.
(I've already used some... looking to see what this community thinks)

Looking for suggestions / advice / recomendations on a simple message board that doesn't involve pop-ups ads (Sure.. I may have to pay to get rid of these)

FYI, I've used "Board host" for years but lately I find the pop-up ads and the on page advertising is starting to get to me.

Direction: At this time I just want to post static messages (job postings maintained by an admin users) ... no interactive communication on the message is necessary or will take place at this time.

Any direction appreciated.
(other thought is developing one.... but I don't really want to go there)

I have used Ikonboard in the past for sites that I designed. It has the option of using flat text files to store its information or it can also use a database.

If you want just a simple one, like one page, it is very easy to make one.

From your post, it doesn't sound like you need a multi page one, well, yet atlest.

Thanks Phpguy, your right, simple (0ne page) is what I'm looking for now..... but I don't want alot of admin to create. I'm not interested in the whole "Forum" bit.

I just looked up ikonboard - their link is either down or gone.

Try searching this site. They probably have a script with what you need. If you can't find one by next week, PM me with the features your looking for and I'll write one for you.

I'd write you one sooner, but I'm flying out to Disney World tomorrow, and won't be back till next Sunday.

Amazing what a storm can do!

Reads like a soap opera over there.
(I guess I'll be staying away from Ikonboard for now - sorry Squashman)
