Arrow Acheive features of Free Web hosting
I have a website with 10GB of empty space, and i want to distribute that space into some of my website members and they will be able to open there webspace/webpage as a subdomain.

But i want that they only able to login on their folder and cant see any other folder or anything on the server and they also can define there custom password, and not exceed there alloted webspace. Or in short all the features like free web hosting companies do.

For this what i have to do, I have a linux server. Please explain in detail and also tell me the URL of any detailed tutorial on this.

I think this would be a function of your .htaccess file. Others can expad on this that have more expertise.

Are you running the server yourself, or is it with a webhost?
If you have cPanel, you can create an FTP account for each user to access their own home directory. If your host provides Webhost Manager, you can give each user their own cPanel account.

I am not running a server....i am with a webhost. and i am with site5.com so i will confirm with my host regarding webhost manager and then tell you. But definately support Fantastico scripts.

**Well through webhost manager, it is possible to give cpanel to subdomains directory.

I talk to site5.com and they said that Webhost manager is only available in the reseller account and for giving free webhosting features you have to buy reseller account.

But as i mentioned actually i am not giving many features just upload a website and demoreel in the specified space....and this can be done from some script. So anyone can help me in that.
