Back shading on web page.
What is the best way to have a back shade on the entire web page. Like a drop shadow on the whole page.

I currently have the idea of drawing a large table of 780 pixels around the main page which is 760 pixels wide. This larger table would have a background with the shading on the side. And would also have a top and bottom shade image.

Is there any better way of doing this? This seems like it is very messy.

A 1 pixel high image that is repeated down the page. Set it as the background attribute for your body tag.

You can get a similar effect from a border. No image needed.
